Job Summary

As a Senior Digital Forensic Examiner, you will be responsible for conducting complex forensic examinations of digital devices, analyzing digital data, and providing expert testimony in legal proceedings. You will work closely with legal teams, individuals, small businesses, corporations, and other stakeholders to gather evidence, analyze data, craft reports, and provide critical insights into digital investigations.

BASIC Qualifications

  • Experience in Civil and Criminal matters.
  • Competent in common methodologies for computer forensics, cloud forensics, and cell phone analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of the generally accepted computer forensics software tools, their characteristics strengths and capabilities for applicable case requirements, and the ability to operate said tools.
  • Understanding of file systems, Operating Systems, and typical forensic artifacts associated with various OS.
  • Proficient in creating final reports that are clear, concise, and well-articulated.
  • In-depth ability to manage forensic projects from intake, processing, examination, final reporting, and testimony.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to people in non-technical terms, excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and work effectively in cross-functional project teams, to include planning and leading projects.
  • Able to work under pressure and successfully function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement plans and efforts in the forensic lab.
  • Be able to troubleshoot technical problems and work in a fast-paced, quick-response team environment.

Required Education and Experience

  • One of the following certifications: CFCE, GCFE, GCFA, OSCP, CISSP, Cellebrite, CMDE.
  • At least 200 hours of specialized forensic or IT training such as: IACIS, NCFI, FLETC, U.S. Military, NW3C, SANS, etc.
  • Over 3 years of digital forensic investigative experience in Civil Cases.
  • More than 5 documented depositions and/or courtroom testimony. Must have at least 2 of each.
  • Proven ability to communicate and interface with clients to meet the needs and objectives of clients.

Work Environment

The typical work environment of the job is in an office setting; however, at times on-site services are required, which may include a wide range of locations. Less than 5% travel is expected for this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
